Jane and I are thrilled to announce the publishing of our first YouTube video. Our initial video details the proper cleaning and maintenance of rechargeable mini behind the ear devices. Proper care of hearing devices is critical to receive superb sound quality and maintain function. We are amazed how many people we see that were fit with hearing aids elsewhere and never taught how to take care for them. “Just bring them in periodically and we will clean them for you.” Anything on the body, especially in a warm, waxy environment needs to be cleaned nightly. We instruct our patients how to clean their hearing aids nightly, but also see them for period maintenance checks. At the time of their hearing device fitting, there is a lot of information to absorb at one time, so having a video to watch can be extremely helpful.
